Schaakschool Indische Buurt

This one started as a sketch during my son's chess tournament. Then I made the two illustrations with ClipStudio Paint and thought why not make a logo too. The illustrations are caricatures of the tournament organizers riding knight figures.
The logo is looseley based on the metal fonts on the building hosting the chess school. There are many buildings in Amsterdam with this type of art-deco typography on them. The color palette is based on an old dutch art-deco poster. Later I made some A4 flyers for the activities at the Batjanzaal.
